Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a cubic yard cover?

The coverage area of mulch depends on the desired depth of the mulch spread. For example a 1" deep spread will cover 324 square feet, 2" deep spread will cover 162 square feet, 3" will generally cover 108 square feet and 4" deep spread will cover about 80 square feet. We recommend at least 3" total depth.

Is the mulch treated for termites?

No, our mulches are not treated for termites. Termites are soil-dwelling insects that require even soil moisture and protection. Sometimes termites feed on wood mulch, but it's not a preferred source of food because it has a very low nutritional value.
